SoldNearbyUK is developed by an independent developer. This policy explains what data the app uses and what happens to it.
The app requests location permission so it can centre the map on your current position when you open it, or when you tap the locate-me button. Your location is read once from your device's location services and used locally to position the map - it is never transmitted to, or stored on, any server, and I have no access to it. If permission is denied, the app centres on London instead.
Typing a postcode or town into the search bar sends that text to two free, public geocoding services so it can be resolved to a location:
This is the only data that leaves your device as part of using the app. It is sent directly from your device to these services - I do not log, store, or have access to it. Their own privacy policies govern how they handle it.
Map imagery is loaded from OpenFreeMap, a free public tile service, as you pan and zoom. As with any network request, this involves your device's IP address reaching their servers; no additional personal data is sent alongside it.
The house price data shown in the app is bundled with the app itself. It is sourced from HM Land Registry's Price Paid Data (Crown copyright and database right, Open Government Licence v3.0) and the ONS Postcode Directory - both public datasets. This is public record of property transactions, not personal data about you.
This app is not directed at children and is not designed to collect information from them.
If this policy changes, an updated version will be published at this same address with a revised date above.
